Wool.Life Mulch & Weed Matting makes gardening easy by suppressing weeds, retaining moisture, protecting against frost, and providing valuable nutrients as it naturally breaks down. Follow these simple steps to get the most out of your matting:

Steps

Step 1: Prepare Your Planting Area

Before laying your Wool.Life Mulch & Weed Matting, clear the area by removing any existing weeds. This ensures your plants get the best start without competition from unwanted growth.

Step 2: Cut to Fit

If you’re using our Mulch & Weed Rolls, measure and cut the roll to your required size using sharp scissors or a knife. Then, cut a hole where you’ll position each plant.

If you’re using our Mulch & Weed Mats, simply place the mat in position—each mat comes with a pre-cut slit for easy placement around stems.

Step 3: Position Your Plants

For Mulch & Weed Rolls, place your plants inside the cut holes. If you're using a Mulch & Weed Mat, wrap the slit around the base of the plant. Secure the matting in place using our biodegradable pegs to prevent movement.

Step 4: Water & Enjoy the Benefits

Once your plants are in place, give them a generous watering. With your Wool.Life Mulch & Weed Matting working to retain moisture, suppress weeds, and provide natural pest resistance, your plants will thrive with less maintenance.

Over time, the wool matting will break down, enriching the soil with valuable nutrients to support healthy growth.
